Chaired by Michel VALACHE, SNAD gathers the service provider companies, in charge of waste collection, treatment and disposal, as well as urban road cleaning and more precisely:
; separate or collective collection of solid waste from households, communities, trade, craft industry, healthcare industry and activities,
. management of waste sites, transfer, regroupment and sorting,
. management installations of biological treatment (composting, methanisation…),
. management of storage centers : class I, for hazardous waste, oclass II, for nonhazardous waste, class III for inert waste,
. cleaning of public areas.
SNAD ensures the management of the National Collective Agreement for Waste Activities (CCNAD), which concerns approximately 30 000 employees. In the field of security, SNAD produces and diffuses booklets and DVDs for the training in security of workers ensuring the collection or working in the processing centers.
