ARENE
The Regional office of the Environment and New Energies, created in 1994, is an organization “associated” with the District council.
While contributing to the integration of the environmental and energy concerns, it takes part in the implementation of sustainable development in Ile de France.
Its main role is :
- to sensitize with the environmental questions,
- to diffuse the “good practices”,
- to make known methods and operations of “reference”,
- to evaluate the interest of new practices and to help with their experimentation.
ARENE places at the disposal as of information in operational and strategic matter, the local communities and of the regional actors by various means of communication: visits with accompanying notes of sites, workshops and forums, publications, events, Internet site… It can also accompany certain operations innovating in particular in fields like:
- decentralized co-operation,
- sustainable development of the territories,
- economic activities, social economy and interdependent,
- education with the environment,
- energy: renewable energies, energy efficiency,
- durable environmental high-quality of buildings and installations, urban renewal,
- durable mobility.
